Re: Review: Civilization VI

I agree with the case for some mobile games being treated the same as PC and console games just on a different platform, and I've long been a vocal advocate for more premium paid-for games on mobile instead of all the free rubbish ... but $60 does seem very steep and overpriced for a port of a game ...

Re: Simulation Game of the Year 2017: Guild of Dungeoneering: Ice Cream Headaches

Thanks very much Joe. I don't have a problem at all with how you decided the winner for this category, it sounds very fair. I just don't think GoD should have been in this category in the first place or that an expansion should have been eligible to win. But anyway, it's just a small thing and I'm e...

Re: Simulation Game of the Year 2017: Guild of Dungeoneering: Ice Cream Headaches

I'm a bit confused and am struggling to see what Guild of Dungeoneering is a simulation of. And also how an expansion can win game of the year.

Man, Osmos is a real blast from the past! Re: Review: Strike Team Hydra

I'm not saying one's right or one's wrong, but it's amazing how much reviewers' opinions differ. Pocket Gamer slated this with a 3/10 score, one of the lowest I've seen them give for anything, but Pocket Tactics loves it and awards four stars. It's just interesting how people can see the same thing ...

It looks like Burgle Bros is out too. I'm hoping that one plays as good as it looks.

Re: News by Numbers: July 31st, 2017

The two codes must have been gobbled up pretty quick, based on when I tried to get one earlier. Shame.

Good luck to Wavelightgames with the release, it looks like a good game.

Looking forward to several of these games that have yet to arrive. Others not mentioned are Smash Up and Eight Minure Empire which should both be good hopefully. And wasn't there a King of Tokyo digital version mentioned some time? I hope that comes eventually too. One disappointment is how Kalypso ...

One that you missed this week was Friday, a digital version of the solo card game that looks pretty good.

Re: Card Game of the Year 2016: Concrete Jungle

There's no doubt Concrete Jungle is a very good game in terms of presentation and clever puzzle-city builder gameplay, but my enjoyment of it ran out of steam. It started after I completed the campaign. I thought with it being called Welcome to Caribou City it would be the first phase of something l...
