Another $100 will get you 256GB which is serious overkill for most people. How about making the base 128GB guys?
That is a shrewd business decission by apple. They made that several times in a row see the 8/32 GB Split or the 16/64 GB Split on different iDevices in the past..
Only Grandma's and Pa's who don't know a thing will be buying the lowest option nowadays....that is unless they are not coereced by an apple guy in the Apple shop to go all in with max Storage. Everyone else grits their teeth and goes for the nex highest option.....
As evil as this ploy is i have to hand it to them - that was some nice evil ploy.
Not that I am not involved with this matter. I am a Data Storage Monnster and always went for max Storage. Guess what I went with my new 10,5 iPad.
I constantly have to delete stuff and reorganize on my iPad (I usually don't sync with iTunes often - lazy person) so this time around I believe 512 GB will be a boon.
Interestingly - if I ever buy another iPhone...I may go for the lowest Storage option....aside from Music I don't have anything noteworthy at all on it.
