Consider Moebius: Jane Jensen teases forthcoming adventure

Shouldn't have gotten your car from the antiquities dealer, mate. An in-game cinematic from Moebius.

Adventure game legend Jane Jensen is starting to wind up the buzz machine for next outing, the iOS, PC and Mac mystery Moebius - the screenshot in this post is (as far as we know) the first in-game shot of the in-development adventure. The designer of Gabriel Knight and King's Quest VI successfully Kickstarted Moebius back in the heady, free-spending days of this past spring.

Moebius casts the player as antiquities dealer Malachi Rector, who discovers (as one tends to do in adventure games) a shadowy conspiracy that could jeopardize the whole of mankind. Jensen promises 10 to 20 hours of gameplay and "a metaphysical thriller ala Dante’s Equation and Gabriel Knight."

Moebius is expected in March of 2013 - and we already know that Wadjet Eye are close to delivering Gemini Rue for iOS. If 2012 was the year of the iOS board game, perhaps 2013 will be the year of the iOS adventure game. You can follow Moebius's progress on the website of Jensen's new studio, Pinkerton Road.
