Playdek’s long-incubating iOS board game conversion Agricola seems to be nearing completion. The studio is fishing for play testers on Facebook, here’s what they’re looking for from their volunteers:

1) Have an iOS device;

2) Have an iTunes account you can sync your device to;

3) Have regular access to a computer and the internet;

4) Be able/willing to dedicate 5+ hours on a weekly basis to testing and reporting your findings.

If you meet these criteria and are interested in being a part of this process, please send an email to: team@playdekgames.com for consideration. In your email, include your iOS device type, the OS you are currently running, and if you speak any additional languages. We look forward to hearing from you.

I can’t imagine they’re going to have much trouble with recruitment, so get that email out post-haste if you want in.

There’s a reason people have been chomping at the bit for Playdek to release this thing: Agricola is the 2nd highest-rated game of all time on Board Game Geek. It’s a worker placement game similar to this week’s Stone Age and designed by Uwe Rosenberg, the man behind Le Havre, which Codito brought to iOS this past summer.

In other Playdek news – things that I’ve heard from various sources suggest that the new release being teased for next week is in fact the Penny Arcade-licensed title Gamers vs Evil.
