Hunted Cow have got a production schedule that would make Henry Ford pop a monocle. The Scottish devs haven’t let the piracy-fuelled collapse of their last title throw a wrench into their assembly line: it’s only been a little over a month since Battle Dungeon’s release and subsequent withdrawal, and the studio’s newest release is already in the hopper for approval in Cupertino.
I liked Hunted Cow’s first two wargames, Tank Battle 1944 and Civil War 1863, well enough. My biggest knock on them was their simplicity – their tactical models needed a wrinkle or two to get properly interesting. Tank Battle North Africa sounds as if the devs have added some needed complexity: some of its advertised features include a new flanking mechanic and troop transports.
The turn-based game will ship with three single-player campaigns and an option to buy more campaigns as IAP, plus Game Center multiplayer. Tank Battle North Africa should be available in a couple of weeks.
