The Apple Arcade exclusives that justify getting a subscription in December 2025

Apple Arcade offers exclusive games for beloved franchises with Sonic Dream Team, Angry Birds Bounce, Worms Across Worlds, and many more.

What I love about Apple Arcade is that the platform has an extensive library of games that keep expanding. New games get added to the platform literally every month. Of course, people are always going to be wary about opting for yet another subscription, but with a number of games that are exclusive to Apple Arcade, it's becoming quite an enticing service.

The best Apple Arcade games come from a multitude of sources, and while it's exciting to have easy access to things like Balatro and Stardew Valley, there are also a lot of other places to play those games. That's why I wanted to highlight the three most enticing Apple Arcade exclusives. They might come to other platforms eventually, but for now, Apple offers the only way to play any of them.

Sonic Dream Team

At the heart of the exclusive line-up is Sonic Dream Team, a 3D platformer that follows in the footsteps of the likes of Sonic Adventure. Developed by SEGA's Hardlight studio, it takes the familiar faces (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, and Cream) and sends them into bizarre, treacherous dream worlds. The villainous Dr. Eggman has unleashed The Reverie, a device that manifests nightmares, and it's up to Sonic and friends to collect Dream Orbs, battle bosses, and traverse twisted landscapes across four dream realms.

Each playable character feels distinct: Tails and Cream get airtime, Knuckles climbs, Amy and Sonic dash in new ways, and Rouge even glides. With 12 story levels and a campaign built around exploration, Dream Team delivers a sense of flow and discovery, especially with wall-running, gravity shifts, and more.

Angry Birds Bounce

If platformers aren't your thing, perhaps you'll be enticed by the latest instalment in a series that made its home on mobile devices. Angry Birds Bounce is a sort of puzzle-smash hybrid: the iconic birds are back, but instead of slinging them, you're bouncing them on a board full of tricky physics and strategic obstacles. It's a clever reimagining of what an Angry Birds game can be, and of course, it lacks the ads and monetization efforts of its predecessors.

This game is definitely addictive; you'll get a lot of satisfaction out of timing your shots, watching gravity play tricks, and hitting just the right bounce to clear a level. For fans who love both puzzle games and casual action, it's a solid reason to invest in Apple Arcade.

Worms Across Worlds

Another beloved franchise gets an exclusive game on Apple Arcade. Worms Across Worlds, the long-running turn-based strategy series, returns and sets those wiggly little soldiers loose in the multiverse. So get ready to lean into chaotic battles across different dimensions.

You'll find familiar tactical gameplay, but also some novelty: dimensional anomalies, universe-hopping maps, and themed worm teams that bring both nostalgia and creativity. Apple Arcade's safe, ad-free space makes it ideal for Worms veterans who want to jump in and spend hours crafting clever strategies without being interrupted.

There are a lot of other exclusives on the services too, but these are three of the most exciting ones. Personally, I'm sold on the likes of Disney Dreamlight Valley and Hello Kitty Island Adventure alone, but I hope I've done a good job of highlighting that this isn't just a curation of games that you can find elsewhere.
