2012 Pocket Tactics Readers’ Choice Game of the Year: Battle Academy

By Owen Faraday 14 Dec 2012 0
And not too shabby, Lost Cities. Congratulations to Battle Academy.

Well that was quite a shootout. Voting has concluded, and after a merry-go-round week of swapping positions, Battle Academy and Lost Cities have finally settled into first and second place, respectively, in the Readers' Choice Game of the Year voting.

Either one of these could have justly come out on top: Slitherine's Battle Academy is one of my favourite iOS games of all time, and has already been recognized as our editor's choice runner-up Wargame of the Year. Lost Cities is a characteristically excellent boardgame adaptation from The Coding Monkeys - and you've not seen the last of it either, as we wrap up the last few editor's choice awards over the next few days.

To have a little stroll down Memory Lane with the winner and the runner-up, have a look at our Battle Academy review from April, November's announcement of Battle Academy 2, and our review of Lost Cities from September.
