Better late than never: RAD Soldiers launches world-wide

Some of the nicest production values on iOS. Totally rad.

A couple of weeks on from my lament that RAD Soldiers had disappeared down the memory hole, the long-gestating multiplayer squad tactical has graduated from limited-release beta to a fully-fledged global iOS launch - it's a free download. Set in a deserted London, you control a squad of recruitable and upgradeable mercenaries in online multiplayer asynchronous matches - though there's an wide array of single-player challenges, too.

My initial enthusiasm for the game's concept and pedigree was tempered by my underwhelming experience of the beta, but Warchest Games assure me that the version I played isn't the final release. You can make up your own mind at the cost of time - RAD Soldiers is free to play but Warchest are hoping you'll want to kick in a few dollars to unlock guns and mercs faster.

The launch trailer is below - stay tuned for our review in a couple of days.
