Galactic Keep back from the dead

Roll to resurrect Roll to resurrect

Idiosyncratic American devs Gilded Skull (nothing to do with Damian Hirst - pity) have resurrected their long-dormant but tantalizingly exciting table-top dungeon-crawler Galactic Keep: Dice Battles. The game was originally announced back in 2009 but was shelved in order to finish other projects like their recently released puzzler Skull Smasher. According to a developer post on the TouchArcade forums, Galactic Keep is back on the front burner and headed for release as a Universal iOS app. Gilded Skull say they've been back at it for over a month, but they won't be rushed into announcing a release date before they're ready.

Gilded Skull's art style is one-of-a-kind - it looks like the kid in your homeroom who drew robots on his Trapper Keeper has been given charge of a game development outfit. Galactic Keep's old school nerd roots in pen-and-paper RPGs have me pretty excited, too. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
