Lanterns: The Harvest Festival and other board games from Renegade Game Studios coming to mobile

24 Mar 2016 6

I recently played my first game from Renegade Game Studios, their timed dice-roller, Fuse. It was a big hit, especially with the kids, and it helped that Renegade has published a companion app for the game which adds a little bit of pizzazz--and snark--while playing. Turns out Fuse isn't the only foray into digital from Renegade as this week they announced a partnership with Dire Wolf Digital to bring their catalog of tabletop games to mobile, with the first title being Lanterns: The Harvest Festival.

Lanterns is a tile laying game in which players act as artisans, adding colored lanterns to the surface of a lake. When you place a tile, all players gain cards based on the color of the lanterns facing them. To win, you must put together the most sets (pairs, all different colors, etc.) of lantern cards.

It sounds like a easy to play and light game which would be a perfect fit for passing around the iPad with friends and family. We don't have a lot of other details right now other than it's coming to mobile (presumably both iOS and Android) and that it will be released in 2016.
