Welcome to this week's edition of News by Numbers, where we highlight some of the can't-miss mobile gaming news each and every week.

Rome Total War: 1 app, all your iOS devices

Feral Interactive announced they are bringing Rome: Total War to the iPhone. It will be a universal app with shared saves, so you can continue your game on your phone or tablet (assuming both meet the minimum requirements to run the game). I've played my share of all of the Rome titles on iPad to date, and I'm more than a little skeptical how the experience will feel on an iPhone, even one a bigger one. Naturally, we'll let you know once we can get our hands on it.

Among the Stars: 2 platforms

Our friends over at Stately Play ferreted out some exciting news that sci-fi themed card-drafting game Among the Stars is being brought to both iOS and Android by Cubio Games. We're in pure teaser mode at this point, with the reveal coming out of Spiel Essen, so the smart money is on a release being quite some time from now.

Armello: 6 year journey to iOS

Popular digital board game Armello crossed another major milestone on its way to mobile devices. The game has soft launched on the Australian App Store. The iOS beta started up back in October and we're hoping to see a worldwide launch soon!

Card City Nights 2: November 9

Card City Nights is a great combination RPG and CCG and the sequel is nearly upon us. Ludosity worked on the game for quite a while before releasing to Steam earlier this year and later this week mobile gamers will get their turn. Check back in for impressions in Out Now with a review to follow!

The Room Old Sins: January 25 for iOS

Fireproof Games has updated the release date for the next title in their popular The Room series. Originally slated for late this year but they've still got some tweaking and polishing to do before it is ready to go so the game will be somewhat delayed. The Room Old Sins will instead be out on January 25 for iOS devices with an Android release to follow. We still don't have a ton of information on the new game, but Fireproof Games did provide some teaser text and a GIF:

“The sudden disappearance of an ambitious engineer and his high-society wife provokes the hunt for a precious artefact. The trail leads to the attic of their deserted home, and the discovery of an old, peculiar dollhouse…Experience The Room: Old Sins and explore unsettling locations, follow obscure clues and manipulate bizarre artefacts on a journey into the world behind the veil.”

One Deck Dungeon: $20,000 goal

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that tabletop dice-drafting, dungeon-delving game One Deck Dungeon was making its move to digital. The Kickstarter is now live and is looking for $20K to make this happen. The developer is Handelabra—who converted Sentinels of the Universe and Bottom on the 9th to very good digital games—so I have to think this will be a big success. The tabletop game is a lot of fun, even solo, so this is a likely winner.

The Horus Heresy Legions: 40K Universe CCG

Games Workshop and Everguild have announced that they are working on a new CCG, coming soon to iOS and Android. It's called The Horus Heresy Legions and, as the name would imply, it'll take place in the Warhammer 40K universe. We won't have to wait terribly long to get a look at the game, apparently its coming in early 2018. If you want to get a head start you can check out all the details and sign up for the beta right here.
