Pathfinder Adventure Card Game release date moved to April23 Mar 2016 8
Back in late February we showed you a preview of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game which was supposed to be hitting our tablets next week, on March 29. I hope you have other plans, because yesterday Obsidian Entertainment announced that the release date was no longer next week, but had been pushed back to April 26.
Given the invaluable contributions each of you have made during the Beta testing of Pathfinder Adventures, we have news that we wanted to share here first.
We're moving the launch day for Pathfinder Adventures to April 26.
We know many of you are eagerly awaiting the chance to explore Sandpoint and defeat the Runelords, and we're sorry to keep you waiting just a little bit longer.
The good news is why the game is being delayed: during beta testing over the last couple of weeks this community has given us a ton of feedback on everything from visual polish to card balance and general gameplay. We want to evaluate all of the ideas and address as many as possible before launch, and that process is going to take a little bit of time.
Ultimately, we hope you all agree that the result will be a better Pathfinder Adventures, just at a sliiiiightly later date.
The preview build we played definitely had a few rough edges, but otherwise seemed quite polished and ready to go. Of course, we weren't privy to seeing the entire package, so it could be the decks for the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path needed a bit of tweaking. Curious about needing to balance cards, however, considering that the game already exists in cardboard form.
Whenever PACG does hit the App Store and Google Play, we'll be ready. Kelsey is chomping at the bit to get a review up for this one. No video for the digital version, yet, so here's my favorite reviewer, Marco Arnaudo, telling us how it plays.
