Pocket Sales - December 1st, 2017

The weekend after the Black Friday to Cyber Monday sales bonanza does not generally yield much in the way of downward motion in game's prices. There are a few sales worth mentioning, especially if you're interested in some of the bigger puzzle games on mobile.

Monument Valley 2 (iOS Universal and Android): $1.99

Summer's surprise release, Monument Valley 2, is the sequel to one of the bigger mobile puzzle games of all time and is a good game in its own right. The sequel brings 16 new levels full of M.C. Escher inspired architectural puzzles and is set in a different part of the same world as the original. The game is also on sale on iOS, but not 'droid.

Framed 2 (iOS Universal and Android): $1.99 / No Sale

Another sequel to a popular game, Framed 2, is also on sale for iOS. In it you rearrange the panels of a noir-style comic book to help the game's protagonist make his way through the story, dodging foes and hazards. The gameplay of the sequel is a big improvement and includes the strategic reuse of some frames.

Beholder (iOS Universal and Android): $1.99 / No Sale

If you're ready to make some tough choices in a grim, dystopian future now's your chance. Beholder, a game where you run an apartment building and must spy on and rat out your unpatriotic neighbors, is on sale for its lowest ever price (normally $5). Michael wasn't super impressed but did give the game a solid three stars.

Poly Bridge (iOS Universal): $1.99

Physics-based bridge-building game Poly Bridge is a simulation/puzzle game where you must solve a ton of increasingly challenging levels. Each level features an architectural/transportation problem to figure out or, you know, disaster. The sandbox mode is great for those who dislike constraints. Well, other than gravity. The game is fun to play, especially in failure, and on sale for two bucks.

Space Grunts (iOS and Android): $0

Space Grunts is the perfect game for people who like to get an arcade action shoot 'em up fix without having to rely on fast-twitch reflexes. All of the action takes within the comfortable confines of a turn-based strategy game, but those turns are quick—under a second each—and combined with Space Grunt's explosive graphical style the action really does feel intense. It's also free, right now, on Android!

That's all the sales we have for you this week - seen anything else we've missed? Make sure you post it below!
