Sentinels of the Multiverse feels the Wrath of the Cosmos and is heading to Kickstarter

One of our favorite ports from cardboard, Sentinels of the Multiverse, is getting more Multiverse today. The Wrath of the Cosmos expansion has gone live for Android and Kindle, and should be arriving soon for the iPad version as well. This is a huge expansion containing eight full decks: two heroes, four villains, and two environments. They've also announced that there will be a lot more Multiverse coming in the next year, but they need our help to make it happen.

Wrath of the Cosmos is a big box expansion for Sentinels and the cardboard version was released just last year. The theme involves an attack on Earth from villains that come from beyond our galaxy. The two new heroes are Captain Cosmic who has a Green Lantern vibe, and Sky-Scraper whose special ability is to become a giant. The villains are a wild bunch. There's Deadline who's comparable to Galactus, Progeny who channels DoomsdayKaargra Warfang who resembles Mongul, and Infinitor who is Captain Cosmic's archenemy and, of course, resembles Sinestro

They've also included a variant card for Infinitor, but you'll have to figure out how to unlock it.

While big news, the new expansion might not be the biggest news out of Handelabra today. They've also revealed the "big secret" that we mentioned last week. Season 2 of Sentinels is revving up including the Vengeance, Villains of the Multiverse, OblivAeon, and Void Guard expansions to your tablets. It will also include the remaining mini-expansions (#4 and up). They're taking this season to Kickstarter beginning on Monday, April 18. We don't have a lot of details about what the Kickstarter entails, or the pledge levels, but we do know that Season 2 will include all the remaining expansions for Sentinels, bringing the digital version up to speed with the cardboard one.

If you haven't tried Sentinels, it's available for pretty much every platform you could want it for and it's excellent. You can get the Wrath of the Cosmos expansion for $5 or as part of the $20 Season 1 Pass, which includes several big box and mini-expansions from the last 18 months.
