Stop-motion-animated, head-tracking puzzler Droidscape Basilica is coming to iOS

Heard it through the grapevine. Whatever happened to the California Raisins?

Life's too short to be angsty about what EA's done to Plants vs Zombies all morning. Let's look at something a bit more worthwhile.

Droidscape Basilica sounds like a title that was conceived by pulling nouns out of a hat but the game itself looks like nothing I've ever seen. This "electropunk action-puzzler" combines stop-motion animation with a proprietary head-tracking technology that uses your iOS device's camera to let you play the game hands-free. This is the game that a Ray Harryhausen/Hans Moravec collaboration would have produced.

Watch the trailer after the jump -- the game is sitting the App Store approvals queue right now and should be with us before the end of the month.
