March 3, 2021: Our Astrologaster giveaway has now ended. Keep an eye on your emails to see if you won!

Can you cure the plague using astronomy? I can’t say it’s something I’ve ever wondered, but if records are to be believed, astronomer, occultist, and – unlicensed – doctor Simon Forman, managed just that in 1592. He went on to employ this methodology to all human ailments: whether grief, love sickness, or simply a spell of bad luck. These accounts were collected in his diaries which form the basis for Astrologaster.

This interactive storybook game sees you take on the role of Forman, diagnosing his patient’s difficulties using star signs and astronomy. It’s a fun gameplay mechanic through which you meet a variety of larger-than-life Elizabethan characters, and become more than a little embroiled in famous historical events. In our Astrologaster review we called it: “a fun story about people looking to the heavens to avoid facing what’s right in front of them”.

That’s why this week we’ve partnered with Nyamyam to give away some Switch copies of this narrative adventure. So if you’re a history fan or simply want an afternoon’s distraction at the expense of some Blackadder-esque characters, be sure to enter lower down the page.

To enter simply fill out the box that corresponds to your geographical region. But if you do decide to enter, please have a look at our terms and conditions first:

We’ll send out the codes to our lucky winners next Thursday. If you can’t wait to play Astrologaster, you can find it on the Nintendo eShop. Good luck!
