In Blox Fruits, Ghoul is one of three out of seven races that you need to unlock through a quest rather than having a chance of spawning into the game as. So, let’s take a look at how you can become a ghoul and dive into their abilities. There’s no point in pursuing a race if you don’t like the buffs and skills on offer.

To learn more about the starting Blox Fruits races, check out our Blox Fruits Shark, Blox Fruits Angel, and Blox Fruits Human guides; the latter is what you’re most likely to start the game as. If you want to learn more about the different fruits, we have a Blox Fruits tier list, though we also have individual guides, such as our Blox Fruits Yeti, Blox Fruits Dragon, Blox Fruits Gas, and Blox Fruits Dough articles, that offer more in-depth information.

Here’s what you need to know about Blox Fruits Ghoul:

What is Blox Fruits Ghoul?

In Blox Fruits, Ghoul is one of the three races you need to unlock via a quest, the other two being Blox Fruits Cyborg and Draco. Ghouls excel at survival, as they can leech health from enemies and other players while also being able to dish out a good amount of damage.

How do I get Blox Fruits Ghoul?

To become a Blox Fruits Ghoul, you need to go on a bit of a wild goose chase, as you must obtain 100 ectoplasm and a hellfire torch, then visit the Experimic NPC to purchase the race. Ectoplasm isn’t too difficult to get, but it is an uncommon drop for defeating the various Cursed Ship enemies, so it may take a while to gather them all. The hellfire torch, meanwhile, takes considerably more effort as you can only obtain it by defeating the Cursed Captain on the Cursed Ship.

The hellfire torch is an incredibly rare drop and you need to be at least level 1,000 to get it. When you finally do, head to the kitchen on the Cursed Ship to give the item and the ectoplasm to Experimic to receive the Ghoul race.

Is the Blox Fruits Ghoul race good?

While the Ghoul doesn’t do quite as much damage as a Human, it has an advantage over that race through its defensive capabilities. Though not as tanky as a Cyborg, Ghouls can leech life from their enemies, helping to keep your health bar topped up. Plus, Ghouls have great offensive capabilities with fast cooldown rates.

If you want a race that’s a good all-rounder with a knack for survival, the Blox Fruit Ghoul is the race for you. The one real issue they have is their subpar armor support, but their leeching capabilities offset this.

What are the Blox Fruits Ghoul stages?

As with any race, the Blox Fruits Ghoul has numerous stages, though each has certain criteria for you to obtain them.

Stage How to unlock
V2 Complete the Colosseum quest and then finish the Alchemist’s quest
V3 Finish Arowe’s quest by killing five players
V4 Finish the Temple of Time puzzle and complete the Trial of Carnage
