When is the new Blox Fruits update?
Currently, there is no release date for the next Blox Fruits update, as the game’s developer has remained silent since the December 2024 patch. The last update, the Dragon Rework patch, arrived an entire year of waiting. Given how much effort the game’s developers put into Blox Fruits, it could be an equal amount of time before a new update launches.
We anticipated an update of a smaller size to arrive for Valentine’s Day, but this never came. For now, all we can do is wait patiently.
What was the last Blox Fruits update?
The Blox Fruits Dragon update was released on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This update brought welcome changes to the game, which we’ll break down below. In July, the official Blox Fruits social media page on X teased a major update. Here’s what the post had to say:
“Their people are no longer in hiding. It’s time for those who were hardened by fire to rise from the ashes. Once a pacifist race nearly wiped out during the Dragons vs. Hydras battle, they now rise with their hearts set ablaze for vengeance. On the mountains of what was once Dragon Island, the Draco have quietly built a dojo, training in secret to reclaim their homeland.” Following this, another post from a Blox Fruits developer in August described a new threat in the game that will bring “the arrival of a power beyond mortal comprehension.”
Blox Fruits updates are pretty few and far between, due to the resources that are required to put them together. Because of this, Blox Fruits players can often be waiting for months until a new patch arrives. However, if they’re all as good as the Dragon update, then its definitely worth sticking around for.

Blox Fruits update 24
We learned in a video overview that several areas have been tweaked in Blox Fruits, including Hydra Island, Port Town, and Great Tree. Performance updates for both console and mobile players have been implemented, alongside numerous improvements to weapon, movement, and idle animations.
Players can also encounter the new Draco race, wield the Dragonheart sword and Dragonstorm gun, and acquire new clothing. There are numerous fresh NPCs to meet too, and over ten materials included with the update.

We’re especially loving the changes made to combat, as guns now show on your body, as well as new stun/knockback animations that can be triggered in combination with fresh hitmarker confirmations. And if you’re eager to track your abilities, refinements to the game’s overall HUD are also coming to Blox Fruits.
The last patch, Blox Fruits update 23, saw the arrival of Kitsune – a fantastical fruit. You can learn more about it here in this Blox Fruits Kitsune guide.
What is the best fruit in the new Blox Fruits update?
As Blox Fruits update 24 isn’t out yet, we can’t say for certain what fruit is the best, but we can look back to Blox Fruits update 23. The previous patch for the game firmly put Kitsune right at the top of the food chain, alongside other picks like Dark and Leopard.
