Is there a new Destiny Child game?

Here’s what we know about the upcoming Destiny Child game including when we might see a release, and what type of game it might be.

If you played Destiny Child before the unexpected shutdown last year, you’ll be pleased to know a new Destiny Child game is on the way. While details are a little thin on the ground for now, it seems that Com2Us is set to revive the franchise with an idle game.

What is Destiny Child?

If you recognize the name, there’s a reason – Destiny Child was a game that ran from 2018 to September 2023. You can still play an archived ‘memorial’ mode, but it doesn’t get updates.

Com2Us recently announced that there now exists a contract for the company to develop and publish a game ‘based on’ ShiftUp’s Destiny Child IP. A subsidiary of Com2Us – Tikitaka Studio – is the brand in charge of development.

Destiny Child release date estimate

Currently, there’s no information on a Destiny Child release date – it’ll likely be a while off if the contract has only just appeared. However, a global release is allegedly planned for the game.

According to the recent announcement, the new Destiny Child game will be an idle RPG, different from the original game but retaining elements of the established name.
