All Fisch rods and how to get them

Your choice of Fisch rod heavily impacts the kinds of fish you can catch, where you can cast your line, and even which mutations spawn.

Fisch rods: A Roblox character in a PT shirt standing on a dock in Fisch holding a basic rod. They are surrounded by four rods released in February 2026

You won't get far in the First Sea without a Fisch rod, and oh boy, are there a bunch to choose from. Whether you're just getting to grips with angling or you're a certified pro, we've got all the information you need to choose the perfect rod for your expedition.

Some of these rods are limited-time rewards, so visit our Fisch codes guide to get the latest special tool before it's too late. You don't want to pass it up and then find out later that it has broken stats.

Here's everything in our Fisch rods guide:

Fisch rods: Three exclusive Fisch rods - two for content creators and one for artists - on a blurred image of the Northern Expedition

Exclusive and unobtainable Fisch rods

Some Fisch rods only exist for a very select number of people. These rods often belong to game admins, contest winners, and content creators as a reward for their dedicated work in the Fisch community. Despite this, some of them still cost money, which seems a little odd to me.

Fishing rod stats explained

As you can see from the tables above, each rod comes with a set of stats that affect how easy it is to use and how good it is at catching rare fish. You can buff all of these stats with different Fisch bait and enchantments, so crafting the perfect loadout for your desired fish is essential. Here's what each of the different rod stats means.

Lure speed

Lure speed is the rate at which a fish gets lured in. Rods with higher lure speed will start the reeling minigame faster than those with low lure speeds.

Luck

A rod's luck stat only determines its chances of catching higher-rarity fish. It doesn't affect the chances for mutations to appear, for heavier fish, or appraisal luck.

Control

A high control stat makes the white bar in the reeling minigame larger, therefore giving you more control over the rod and making it easier to catch your fish. The white bar starts off as 30% of the minigame's UI, so a control value higher than +0.7 means that the bar fills the entire length of the UI.

Resilience

Fish like to move around and struggle while you try to catch them, so when a rod has a high resilience stat, it makes the fish move less, therefore making the reeling minigame easier.

Max KG

This stat is pretty self-explanatory. Rods have a limit on the size of fish they can catch, so if a fish's minimum possible weight falls above the rod's maximum KG, you have a 0% chance to catch it. Some rods have no upper limit on the size of fish they can catch.
