Epic has confirmed that the Fortnite Galaxy Cup, which is exclusive to Android players, will take place between July 25-26. Compete and you can earn exclusive rewards, including the Galaxy Scout Outfit and Star Scout Wrap, though you will need a compatible Android device to participate.
Everybody who plays Fortnite can appreciate free loot, but if there is one thing that makes these particular items irresistible, it’s earning them from a tournament. A maximum of 25,000 players will be eligible to receive the Galaxy Scout Outfit from participating. If you are worried that you will miss out on the outfit, you will have a chance to purchase the skin from the store at a later date.
The two-day event will see players fight against each other to earn “Hype” points. The points are awarded based on where you finish out of 100 players, and how many eliminations you get in your game. You will also earn one Hype point for any game you play in. The players who collect the most hype points in the two-day event period will unlock the new outfit.
FORTNITE GALAXY CUP TOURNAMENT: HOW DO YOU EARN HYPE?
You can earn Hype points in several ways, all of which involve playing the Galaxy Cup limited-time game mode. The game mode is a regular Battle Royale, but with only two days for players to earn as many points as possible. We detail the point scoring system below:
- Victory Royale: 10 points
- Second – Fifth: 7 points
- Sixth – 15th: 5 points
- 16th – 25th: 3 points
- Each Elimination: 1 point
- Each Match Played: 1 point
The tournament is split into three leagues, which comprise ten divisions. If you want a chance at earning the Galaxy Scout skin, you will need to get into the Champion League, in as high a division as possible. The league and division details are below:
- Open League: Division I (0 – 249 Hype)
- Open League: Division II (250 – 499 Hype)
- Open League: Division III (500 – 999 Hype)
- Open League: Division IV (1,000 – 1,499 Hype)
- Contender League: Division I (1,500 – 2,499 Hype)
- Contender League: Division II (2,500 – 3,999 Hype)
- Contender League: Division III (4,000 – 5,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division I (6,000 – 11,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division II (12,000 – 15,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division III (16,000+ Hype)

If you want to win the Galaxy Scout Outfit, you will need to finish in the top percentage of players in your region. Europe and North America East have the largest allocation of players, allowing more players from these regions to unlock the skin. Details about each region’s top division are below:

You need not worry if you cannot make it to the top division, all players who play five or more games will unlock the Star Scout Wrap for participating.
