Re: Review: Through the Ages

Hi, can multiplayer games be saved? When you create one, you're allowed to specify how long you're prepared to be waiting. So long as you stick to that, yes, multiplayer games are saved. Man, I LOVE this game, but wow am I sucky at it. I just can't seem to get a feel for when to do things. I've imp...

Re: Review: Through the Ages

How playable is it on a 5.5" screen?
Very. I played it for this review on a 5.1" S7. It's very hard to use the action shortcuts on a phone screen but there's more than one way of getting most things done so the impact is mininal.

Regarding the low incomes of your opponents, that is only during the first 'Normal' campaign. Once you've cleared that you get to expert mode, and the difficulty ramps up nicely. Thanks for making this clear for readers, but I do actually mention this in the review. The "easy" game does drag on a b...

Re:

Honestly, I have the opposite reaction to Tavern Brawls ;) I don;t mind the RNG pre-set up ones, I kind of hate the "construct a deck" variety. Simply because I want to click "Brawl" and go and deck building takes so damn long. Oh sure, I've got a lot of sympathy for this. Being able to just hit a ...

<t>"Also the phrase 'whatever Asian language the developer used' does sound very flippant and dismissive and frankly quite rude, especially since you seem to be fairly confident that it is Chinese in the rest of the article."<br/> <br/> Thanks for highlighting this. Let me explain.<br/> <br/> My ori...

<t>No one has ever called me a racist before and I'm at a loss to explain why you found this to be so. I found the game hard to understand from the interface and pictorial instructions. Had it been in English, I'd have found the same.<br/> <br/> Racism is something that I find abhorrent: I am well a...

<t>Actually I don't think modern Rogue-likes have necessarily superceded their older counterparts. At least not in terms of depth and game play. The only recent one which has come close to the sheer narrative and tactical joy of Angband and its ilk is FTL which is pretty complex by modern standards....

<t>Well I can't comment on percentages since I don't play Reno Priest or any other highlander deck. And if you can afford to build Reno I doubt you're terrible. But by "lucky" I was trying to imply that aggro vs highlander boils down to luck. It's just about whether or not they can kill you before y...

Re: The Streets - A Hearthstone Meta Evaluation

Yes, I've played tons. I'm well aware of the prevailing opinions and I agree small time Buccaneer needs taking down a peg. But the most vocal critics of pirate aggro are, naturally, the most frequent players. Yet Hearthstone has a large casual play community and I suspect they may feel differently. ...
