Re: PT Guides: Like... Magic: The Gathering? You'll Love These

Eternal is the closest to Magic you will get on iOS currently. Recently I've been playing a CCG called Mythgard and think it is quite good. It is still in beta and the UI can be a little rough, but there are some interesting decisions to be made, the art is good, and there is some neat synergy. Defi...

Re: <t>League of Legends celebrates ten years by announcing all of the things</t>

My name is Mirefox, and I'm a LoL addict. I picked up the game back in the beta days and did my best to play as often as possible for years. Family and job have since kept me away from the game for a couple years, but I can't say I'm not excited about these games coming to mobile. I'm especially loo...

At this point, the Neuroshima Hex App is a broken dumpster fire, which is a shame because the game is excellent.

Overall a great list, though. Santorini is a fantastic app; I wish so badly it was asynchronous. Same with Onitaam.

Tides of Time is only 2-player if you want to pass your phone back and forth. Does it fit the list? Sure. But I'm really grump about how obnoxiously barebones it is that I wish it weren't featured here. The underlying app is good; the multiplayer is abysmal.

<t>I???d probably give the app 5/5.<br/> <br/> I don???t really like Fluxx. It can be mildly amusing with my kids but there is really no strategy, there is a ton of randomness, and the game can sometimes drag on forever.<br/> <br/> That said, the app is a perfect recreation of the card game. It is b...

For more good tips on gaming with kids, there is a good thread about it over at statelyplay.com

Regarding Fox Factory, I may give it a look. Pango has some good apps for young kids. I particularly like their sandbox building apps, which were great for my kids around age 4 or so.

I quite enjoy most of NimbleBit’s games. Most of their games are time-gated, meaning the further you progress in the game, the longer things take (and of course there is a premium currency to speed things up). For some reason, though, these games never rubbed me the wrong way like so many other game...

Re:

LOL. The reviewer seems to overlook the fact that this is a multiplayer game. Playing solo would not be interesting, a bit like playing a football match by yourself and wondering why there is no strategy :) Admittedly, the biggest failing here is the lack of an effective tutorial. Those unfamiliar ...

Re:

So is TheoTown or Pocket City the preferred city building app for android? I have not played TheoTown, but I have thoughts on Pocket City; it is very shallow. Pocket City is a pretty little sandbox game with little depth that you can play to completion in a couple hours. There is little forward pla...
