Re: Sliding to DEFCON 1: Twilight Struggle tournament thread

This tournament probably should have died after the first round when we lost so many... We'd be better off starting a new one with only the committed.

Re: Puerto Rico Tournament

Well played! I got greedy at one point, thinking I could get a Captain in and still get the Guild Hall the same round. But some unexpected income came in to everyone, and Snotty got to the Guild Hall first... I only ended up scoring 2 points for my big building! And it was probably your Large ...

Re: [Turnament Thread] Lords of Waterdeep Tournament - Hot Summer 2016 Edition

Final round: hardco 230 (Mirt the Moneylender) KYakerDude 200 (Halaster Blackcloak) SleepingGiant 126 (Khelben Arunsun, The Blackstaff) I got out Study in the Librarium with little disruption, and was pretty much uncontested in taking The Grim Statue most of the game. Re: Stone Age League (Season 2)

I agree that it seems odd to factor in price for a game's rating. The quality of a game is the same regardless of the price. I prefer "value" to be described in the review, like when Nick indicated he would happily pay twice the price for Concrete Jungle.

Re: Sliding to DEFCON 1: Twilight Struggle tournament thread

I feel if we are sidelining that many people for however long round 2 is going to take, we'll have even less people interested in playing round 3...

Re: Sliding to DEFCON 1: Twilight Struggle tournament thread

Well for lack of anyone else expressing an opinion, let's have:

Kolbex vs janehatke
Geigerm vs blackfire1929

Since SpicetheCat actually responded since this round started, let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Worst case JMH.75 will get a second round bye.

Re: Sliding to DEFCON 1: Twilight Struggle tournament thread

What's the list of people without a matchup? From reading it sounds like:

Kolbex
Janehatke
Geigerm
Blackfire1929

Re: [Tourney Thread] Ascension Dreamscape Tournament

The biggest problem with the banishing cards in this set is that they don't really do anything else for you other than the banish (except the sensai), so the will eventually thin the deck, but they don't help in the early game. Given the lack of good banishers or meaningful card draw, the doublers h...
