Re: <t>Like... Slay the Spire? You'll Love These!</t>

Good list. DQ is still the best, IMO. Apparently there might be some new update coming for that, which has me drooling, and possibly even some new artwork (at this point I’m not sure I want that, though, as I’m so used to the stick figures). I wouldn’t say that Pirates Outlaws is a StS clone... it h...

Re: <t>The Weekender: Outlaw Edition</t>

Wait, hold the phone. Apparently, you don’t actually *spend* repute; you just need to have earned that much in order to unlock certain things. Alright, I’m much more okay with that. This is why a game needs to be played through more thoroughly before reviewing. My bad. But, my original concern still...

Sorry, the term is “repute,” not prestige.

Re: <t>The Weekender: Outlaw Edition</t>

Interested to see your review of Pirates Outlaws. For me, it’s easily the best Slay the Spire-ish game on iOS. I’ve tried MANY of the clones and near-clones (including the recent Card Crusade), but they’ve almost always disappointed or been too much of an exact clone to want to support. Pirates Outl...

Re: <t>Review: Knights of the Card Table</t>

Seemed really fun at first, but after an hour or so it got really repetitive and a bit tedious. Too bad, because the art style and idea of the game are cool. But it was an easy delete for me.

Is there some way to turn down/off the music? I’ve poked around and can’t seem to accomplish that. That’s a dealbreaker for me. Developers, please don’t make something like that obscure!

Re: <t>Review: Donut County</t>

Really fun game, and a wonderful concept. About as simple and clever as Angry Birds, and super satisfying to eat all that stuff with your hole. Nice development of challenges that play off the concept. But... the dialogue cut scenes get really tedious. And from what I read of them, they're not reall...

Dream Quest x100. Still better than anything since, and its copycats.

I assume iOS means iPad only in this case, and probably one of the newer ones. Meaning, the time has come for me to get a new iPad. :)

<t>I'll update my last comment a little, specifically about Lost in the Dungeon. I do like it. The aspect of pushing your luck to continue or not is good, and the way the items and card/deck upgrades work is decent. The combat system is decent, even with just the one card at a time thing. I just thi...
