<t>I, too, loved Angband back in the day. It is good to hear it mentioned.<br/> <br/> Another Roguelike that I quite enjoyed was called Ragnarok. It put a graphical overlay on the traditional Rogue design. It may have been a terrible game, I don't remember, but I still have fond memories or playing....

Re: Review: Colt Express

The game has updated. I don't own it, so I don't know if it is actually improved or not.

Hmmm...Is Age of Conquest asynch? That screenshot sure looks enticing to me.

<t>I consider multiplayer broken no matter how functional it actually is if it does not have asynchronous play, which I believe they had said is not planned. It is so sad to me that we finally live in a day and age where technology allows me to play games with all my old college friends who are spre...

Re: Splendor, Multiplayer Culture in Digital & Physical Boardgames

Splendor is not asynchronous, which is ridiculous, in my opinion. I am firmly in the camp that will no longer buy a game unless it has asynchronous multiplayer or goes on sale for .99. Whether I'm playing against my wife on the same couch while binge-watching TV or against my best friends who have s...

Re: Why We're Still Playing Eclipse: New Dawn for the Galaxy

Now I'd like to see some more Neuroshima Hex updates. How about Uranopolis, Mephisto, and maybe Death Breath? How about fixing it so my online games don't crash when I play dancer? How about the larger map or 2v2 variant? How about a revamped multiplayer in general?

Re: CCG Special: By The Numbers

My biggest problem with Magic Duels hasn't been in-game bugs or server issues; in fact, I've had a good time playing. My issue issue is that I've got some sort of bug in my card collection where I have 5 of some commons and 2 of some uncommons in the base set and am forever sitting at 99% completion...

Re: CCG Special: By The Numbers

Does anyone remember that Assassin's Creed CCG (Recollections, I think?)? I thought that was a really cool design that was maybe a bit ahead of its time, and rather good looking to boot. It's a shame that it got pulled from the store.

Re: Review: Paperback

This is one of the first games to fall victim to my new, strict no-multiplayer/no-buy policy (which is amended to exclude games that go on sale for $.99). I'd really like to try this game out, and it looks like the kind of game that my wife and I would play hundreds of games of, but without multipla...

Re: CCG Special: By The Numbers

@MrGohl There are essentially two styles of deckbuilders out there, and the two you listed are kind of the paragons of each. You either have the Dominion model with set piles in the middle or the Ascension style with a row of random cards that are bought then replaced. I think your view of either de...
