Re: Patchwork tournament redux

Added geigerm vs JaneHatke to the results post. How are the last four games going? (skoptic vs Taube, skoptic vs Saviodo, Snotty128 vs JaneHatke and JaneHatke vs irishdomer08).

Although there are still four results awaited, I'll start the knockout phase once the Snotty128-JaneHatke result is posted.

Re: Eclipse - Multiplayer Playability

Excellent, and I'm happy to check in/move daily. Looking at the old forum game thread, did the MP functionality settle down? The app hasn't been updated since April last year. Anyway, it looks like the post-move-as-game-log/reminder scheme worked :) /reads more BGG. Gosh, people got really cross abo...

Re: Patchwork tournament redux

Updated results and tables here http://www.pockettactics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9723&p=10544#p10544 Let me know if i've missed anything or transposed scores. In Squid, robthomasson won another game by the largest margin, and the Atticus-KYaker result has been updated. We're almost at the end...

Re: Eclipse - Multiplayer Playability

If a total beginner would be tolerated, I'd like to join a game. I've had this gathering metaphorical dust on my iPad forever and it'd would be cool to finally play it.

Re: Patchwork tournament redux

skoptic 17 26 SpiceTheCat Interesting game. I scampered to a sizeable early lead by grabbing the large awkward pieces, but ended up with low income and a very messy quilt. Skoptic was much more methodical, racking up a bigger income and filling in the gaps more neatly, and there were a couple of tu...

Re: Result - Rob vs Zac

My own unthinking default is that people are from somewhere in North America ... but we do have a good European representation. I am from the UK - about 12 miles NW of the centre of London. JammaTal and Holsten-Knight, for example, are located in Germany. For some reason I thought you were in Canad...

Re: Patchwork tournament redux

Updated the tables and standings post here: http://www.pockettactics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9723&p=10544#p10544 As ever, please let me know about omissions or errors. I've underlined the players who have finished reporting results. Hardco and KYakerDude are looking pretty solidly in control ...

Re: Patchwork tournament redux

@spicethecat. Close. It was 21v20 you winning. Was hat really our second game? I ask this without going back and looking. I sent you an invite this morning thinking it was our first so if it was the second you can delete the game. It was the second game, but I've accepted your invite as I'm almost ...

Re: Brass Tournment

I'd be pretty pleased too if I was running a cotton strategy, and 2/4 of the distant market tiles were 0. I feel your pain: I'm playing ports + shipyards in a game against randoms, and not only is the distant market not depleting but some fool is building L1 ports. He is going to lose, but it may w...

Re: Books

For some reason (*) I've just - as in in the last month - ploughed through 90% of Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series. I originally read Cryoburn when it was part of the Hugo pack and wasn't especially taken with it, but I've enjoyed the backlist binge. It's a huge series of interlinked books w...
