Re: Books

Regarding the recently released Carrier Battles for Guadalcanal I'm looking to download a book to learn more about the battles included - Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal etc. Can anyone recommend a book that covers this period of naval history?

Re: Books

Hey does anyone mind if I pimp my own novel here?

EDIT: I'm not new to Pocket Tactics, just haven't posted much since the switch to the new forums. Hence, two posts.
I don't see anyone objecting. Awaiting details.

Re: New wargame tackles WW2 and the Battle of Guadalcanal

Thanks again for the review Currymutton. This is turning out to be a challenging game with considerable depth. More to it than I originally thought and I'm still climbing the learning curve/mountain. What took time was becoming familiar with the dynamic unit markers. There's much info on them, plus many colour changes to indicate thei...

Re: Monetization categories?

" The other way to do it is to trust our guts on the matter. " Yes, that's seems the best way forward. All this talk of calibration is getting too deep for me; and, you know, some people like timers, me included. Sometimes. Depends how they're implemented. it doesn't help that I'm a hypocrite. I don...

Re: Monetization categories?

Trouble is, there are about 50 different ways to monitize. Pay for full unlock, Pay to progress, Remove ads, DLC, Timers, T-shirts; and different types suit different markets, e.g. suprise boxes are popular in the Far East. I think a reviewer would have detail monetisation for every game and let the...

I can now post comments with a mobile iPad instead of having to use a home computer. It's like stepping into the future.
