<t>I like seeing reviews of smaller-scale indie releases. Amidst all the super-glossy FTP titles and the heavily discounted mobile versions of major PC releases, sometimes earnest mobile devs get left in the dust.<br/> <br/> Kudos to Pockethop for making something interesting and putting it out ther...

Re: Out Now: Kings and Sheep Edition

We're definitely reviewing All Creatures Great and Small... I haven't yet gotten a chance to play it, so all errors in description are the fault of my attempt to extrapolate from the official website (for the app) and BGG. Regarding Pathfinder... your guess is probably better than mine, I've only pl...

Re: Review: Hearts of Iron: War Stories

Of all the different kinds of games I've reviewed, the genre I most dread assigning a star rating to is interactive fiction (gamebooks and the like). I'm speaking now as someone who teaches graduate-level creative writing classes as part of their day job. I evaluate whether a story is free of gramma...

<t>It was a hard call for me: if I'd thought that fixes for some of those issues were coming soon, I'd have asked Joe if I could hold off and see what the update fairy brought. Unfortunately, Regicide has been on iOS since May, and PC since a year before that, and people are having serious problems ...

Re: Letter from the Editor – August 1st 2016

Hello, everyone. I've been reading Pocket Tactics for years, I've just never been active in the forums. I generally only lurk in forums, though I couldn't tell you why. I'm working on engaging more. Since I'm handling the new release posts (at least for now), I'd like to hear more about what you fol...

Yeah, I took one look at the Ranger's special and was like "Holy Black Arrow of Bard, Aragorn!"

I'm fairly sure it was either Cyrano de Bergerac or the Baron von Munchausen, but as a PT writer I'm disqualified from winning and you should know better than to take anything I say too seriously.

Re: Review: Titan Quest

Prinny, I meant to reply to your question a week ago, then forgot all about it. Your basic holding capacity is 5x12 , and each upgrade adds a new 5x8 tab (2/3 as much as base) . You get the first bag before you finish Greece.

<t>Sounds like the writing in Crush Your Enemies is everything I'd feared it would be. The caricatural style of the character art alone left me with the feeling that someone had read Sergio Aragones' Groo (a very clever comic book about a very stupid barbarian) and missed the point entirely.<br/> <b...
