Re: Pulled one out of my ...

geigerm (1) over robthomasson (0)

Rob started with a strong blue hand, complete with the Megahauler and several other great ships as a result. I had a mostly yellow hand that I thinned repeatedly with my Fortress Oblivion. Down 37-1 in the last turn, I was able to put together exactly 37 damage for a comeback victory. Good game!
Well played!

Galling for me though - late in my last turn I realised that I could have scrapped the Ark to take out one of your bases rather than use combat points. I probably should have realised that (or at least allowed for it) even though it wasn't clear just how much combat would come from my card draws. The difference between a good player and a great player ... and geigerm played great in this game. Excellent! He said through gritted teeth.

geigerm (36) over Jules (-2)

I had very good fortune in this one--picked up the Command Ship in the third round and was able to build a strong hand from there. The events that did show up didn't really favor either one of us, IMO. Good game!

hardco (47) over kennfusion (-6)

I picked up an early Starmarket and went heavy bases. kennfusion's deck had difficulties punching through my bases, and I had several rounds taking no damage. Eventually I picked up the Ark, a Battle Barge, and a decent complement of Blob ships to get the win.

Rob 38 > whovian223 -12

This one rather fell into my lap, not much - if anything - that whovian223 could have done to stem my tsunami.
Yeah, I thought I was holding my own.

Then.....WHAM!

Looks like @saviodo and I will be "tied" for 4th place in Group A. I don't think points is a good determining factor for a tiebreaker so send me a challenge when you read this and we'll play a proper match for the chance to move on to the finals.

Actually, if Irishdomer loses their last match, it would be 3 people "tied" for 3rd and 4th place. How did you resolve situations like this in your Star Realms tourney's Private Prinny?

Not that PP can't answer his own questions, but I headed to the old Tourney Dome to check 'cause I was curious myself. Tiebreakers were listed as:

1. Head to head results (wins vs. tied player)
2. Points scored
3. (Game/set wins)
