Review: Cthulhu Realms

When Dave reviewed deck-builder Star Realms in 2014, he was even more impressed with its gameplay than I. Cthulhu Realms, its Lovecraftian sequel, improves on the original in nearly every way.

Thank you for this review. Made me happy to find some new content regardless of the current situation. Visiting pocket-tactics has been a daily ritual for me since PT was first launched and i do so a few times a day. Sad to see things die down and i hope there is some directive that breathes some life back into the community.

Thanks again!

Whoa. Didn't even know this released. Will have to try it out as I enjoyed Star Realms.

Great review! Game downloaded.

I particularly enjoyed the mouse-over captions this time (now that I know to look for them) as well as your comparison points re: Ascension and Dominion, which are also my go-to games in this genre.

Thanks for soldiering on and posting this, Kelsey.

I second that.

Oddly enough, I really like the cell shaded art style.
The tutorial is also worth pointing out, as it is exceptionally polished and clear.

Great, detailed review.

I like it, but I don't love it, yet.
The idea of shooting the other player with sanity loss just seem wrong to me.
You should also be able to take sanity loss yourself to play powerful cards.

I'll wait and see if it grows on me, haha
