Here's a good article that is much more informative and much less panic mongering than Checkpoint's.

Not that providing this kind of information to the forum members is bad (it's a good thing to alert people to security issues), but some of these copied articles blow the issues up beyond what they actually are for clickbait, and that does a disservice to everyone.

Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping my article wasn't too hyperbole (apart from the headlines I guess) but I see your point, I'll make sure I keep an eye on stuff like this if anything of this nature crops up again.

No problem. As I said, alerting people is always good. But most sources of the information tend to focus more on the scare tactics (like the Check Point article) rather than levelheaded explanations of what's going on. Certainly not your fault for that!
