I should probably play a bit of the campaign before jumping in the deep end, but its too late now.

The group leaderboards and quick matching within your group is a great idea. Whoever thought of implementing that deserves a pat on the back.

Played some last night. Extremely well done title as the review clearly states. I am a huge advanced wars fan who has been playing the series his whole life and i have to say this game is a great spiritual successor. Cant wait to get some competitive games going. I feel like this game plays faster and more furiously then Advanced wars tho. Regardless super happy with the purchase.

In single player it's a satisfying Advance Wars like game but regrettably, in multiplayer as you can't define move timers, games can drag Hero Academy style. The current move limit is 48 hours and it can't be changed.

That does suck but i think a dedicated game group can accommodate more real time play with arrange play times etc. Tournies could be cool too. I do feel a MP setting where you can set a timer, like 2 min for a turn would be a great addition. That was you can get more completed game experiences.

Still tip top though!
