While this heretic's choice of allegiance is abominable, his assessment is sound - as a fan of both Talisman and 40k, I very much enjoy this game. That said, I can see why folks who don't appreciate the mad-cap movements of Talisman or the Grimdarkness of the 30rd Millenium might find this unenjoyable.

It is certainly an acquired taste - like giving up your soul in hopes of becoming a Master of Change.

Yes, well-written review, Tof. As you say, I can't imagine this game will appeal to people who are not already fans of both Talisman and 40k, and even for those of us who are, it's fine but just missing any kind of wow factor. I'd probably rather just play Talisman, or some other game (Pathfinders!) for now, but hopefully Nomad will find a way to update it and spice it up a little somehow.
