No historical gamer should fall for the trap that, just because the mechanics are the same, every Hexwar game is the same. A look at their Civil War series shows that maps and objectives are sculpted to faithfully represent the situation for each year..
And this is my issue with Hexwar's prodigious volume of games. I seriously have no idea which of Hexwar's games are well done & worthwhile vs the ones that aren't their cream of the crop. Can someone make some suggestions of what they think are Hexwar's cream of the crop iOS games?
Given the limitation of the engine, this approach represents an accomplishment we can all appreciate.
Can you recap what you perceive as the engine limitations?

There's probably scope for a HexWar games guide, especially since they're slowly porting their whole catalogue to Steam and Android.
