Great website. Shame I only discovered it a few days ago - as a tabletop gamer turned PC gamer this is just the sort of site I've been looking for! Helped myself to Ultimate General Civil War in the Steam sale - at under ??9, it was too much of a bargain to turn down!

Welcome! Thank you for joining our community :) We do do some table-top coverage here and there (might as well!) but yeah, we're mainly about computer wargames.

Any topics or games in particular you're interested in?

I've struggled to find decent Wargames on the PC - and by that I mean games that focus you mainly on the battle. I don't mind a campaign of linked battles. But far too many of the more mainstream strategy games are all about the 'gather wood to build your stockade' stuff, rather than the actual battles. I want to get on with the fighting!

Main historical periods I'm interested in are: American Civil War; Ancients; and Napoleonic. I like the massed ranks on the single battlefield and still getting relatively up close and personal.
