It's not fun. Not in the long run.

I played this for a fortnight or so (in part to refresh my player knowledge ahead of the World Cup, but that's another story!).

It's certainly very, very slick and the FIFA license and the resulting roster of official teams and players (collected via FUT style cards) is almost worth it, but in the end, there's no real game here.

The games and 'skill' challenges eventually degenerate into random swipe-fests, rather than any test of skill and eventually, as is usual, it quickly becomes apparent that you're not going to be able to put your dream team together with out a hell of a lot of grinding (swiping), or stumping up cold hard cash.

For football action and even player card collection, you'd be better off with FIFA 18 on a console. For strategy, stick to FMM and the ilk.
