That article was doomed from the start because of the superlative in the title but it's worst than I expected. Not only some of the titles are more tactical than strategic but you missed so many good turn-based games (strategic and tactical)... *** Panzer Corps ***, Battle Academy, Warhammer quest, Demon's rise, Hunters, Deathwatch...

I held out as long as I could, but Civ VI won in the end.

Curses, if only this article was written in an editable content management system and not etched into stone, fixed for all time. Then we could just, like, swap out entries for other entries in a never ending celebration of different types of turn-based games.

Hey Joe (spoken in Jimi Hendrix’s voice...sorry couldn’t resist)...

What is up with the formatting on comments being so borked? (apostrophes, quite screwed up, etc.)

Seems fine on the forum side, but not on articles.

The list has been updated.

Neuroshima Hex (which has migrated over to the Board Game list) has been replaced by Templar Battleforce Elite.

Nice, thanks Joe! btw did you see my question about comments on the blog side being messed up?

Not including Panzer Corps is an outrage! Unless you want to group it with Shenendoah Studios' Battle of the Bulge ("Battle of the Bulge is the most important iOS game yet." - PT) and Moscow and others to form a Best Wargames category.

Another vote too for the Demon's Rise series.

Some of these categories are very narrow (best roguelike) while this one is so wide. Of course, the debate about all this is the fun part.
