Five years and three months after Genshin Impact first released, we get the news we've been waiting for since day one: the Traveler's kit will get buffs in a future update, according to information from a leaker. Did a pig just fly?
This new leak comes from the reliable Hakushin, who lists all upcoming assets on the associated website during each beta. Apparently, Genshin Impact's Traveler will get some stat buffs based on each of Teyvat's seven elements. As per the leak, "the Traveler gains an attribute bonus for every element they have resonated with".
Here are the alleged buffs:
- Anemo - 10% crit rate increase
- Cryo - 20% crit damage increase
- Dendro - 60 elemental mastery
- Electro - 20% energy recharge increase
- Geo - 20% defense increase
- Hydro - 20% HP increase
- Pyro - 20% attack increase
Despite not having the cryo Traveler unlocked yet, we still think any crit buff is a welcome one.
We all know what the Traveler's capabilities are like in the game… that is to say, mid at best. The dendro Traveler helps with reactions, but the hydro option is one of the worst units in the game. The pyro option is fairly useless outside of Natlan, too.
If this leak is truthful, though, it looks like the Traveler will be more viable in our teams in the future. Now to speculate about when this may happen - hopefully before we get to Snezhnaya in 7.0.
