Genshin Impact Vesna release date window
Vesna will release in Genshin Impact's 7.1 update, which arrives sometime in late September. Given that details about her were posted prior to the other confirmed characters, she's likely to arrive in the first half of the patch with Vodyanitsa.
Who is Vesna?
Vesna is the Commander of the Druzhna, the Tsaritsa's special forces. She's a pretty free spirit, playing pranks and tricks on people in her free time, and annoying Danica, who's the head of the housemaids in the palace. She's from the Strivozha house and has made a name for herself with her prowess in combat, as well as her loyalty to both the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya itself.
Her constellation is named Amentum Vernum, which in Latin roughly translates to "the spear strap of spring". This likely alludes to Vesna's role as the Commander, as she's titled the Snowy Banquet's Sharp Blade. As for the spring part of this, it's hard to say what it means, but it certainly fits her look and sunny disposition.
Which stellar reaction does Vesna do?
Given her use of anemo, it's likely that Vesna will do Stellar Swirl. This triggers Stellar Vortex on cryo-affected enemies, so she'll be useful in teams that make use of this reaction well, including plunge DPS units that can take advantage of the additional jump height the reaction provides. Unless, of course, she is one herself - we'll have to wait and see.
