How do I make a Grow a Garden cake? Cake is one of the delicious treats you can cook for Chris P. during the Cooking event in exchange for rewards. In this guide, we run through a variety of cake recipes from uncommon to prismatic, so you can satisfy Chris P.'s craving and nab those goodies.

Cake is just one of the foods you can whip up during the Grow a Garden Cooking event, and we're here to help you master them all. Be sure to check out our Grow a Garden donut, Grow a Garden ice cream, Grow a Garden waffle, and Grow a Garden pie recipes next to learn how to make all those lovely, sweet treats.

So far, the only cake recipes we've found use either bananas or corn. Unfortunately, banana seeds are only available through the Summer Merchant, who appears at random. So, if you don't already have bananas or corn growing in your garden, we highly recommend keeping an eye on the Grow a Garden seed shop and stocking up on corn seeds when you get the chance.

Once you've got that covered, simply grab the ingredients listed below, throw them into the cooking pot at the center of the map, hit the 'cook' button, and wait. If you use larger and rarer items, your cake will take longer to cook, but you'll also have a higher chance of getting more rewards.

When the timer's up, you can claim your cake from the pot. Then, with the cake in your hands, talk to Chris P. and ask him to "try this food I cooked up!". If he's satisfied with your work, he'll give you some goodies. Possible rewards include Grow a Garden mutation sprays, event-limited Grow a Garden eggs and seed packs, a Grow a Garden pet, and more. Also, if you happen to give Chris P. a cake when he's craving it, you'll get bigger and better prizes.

Alternatively, if you use ingredients with mutations, your cake may also gain one or more mutations. Instead of giving it to Chris P., you can give mutated foods to the Food Connoisseur for different rewards.

While we've tried a lot of different crop combinations so far, there are bound to be some cake recipes we've not discovered yet, but we'll be sure to add them to this guide once we've confirmed that they work. For now, you can use all the options below to cook up a tasty cake and get those even tastier rewards.
