Here's everything you need to know about the Grow a Garden Cooking event:
What is the Grow a Garden Cooking event?
Grow a Garden Cooking is an event that runs from Saturday, August 2, until Saturday, August 16, 2025. It launched alongside the Trading update, which finally introduces the option to safely trade items with other players.
As you can probably guess by the name, the Cooking event focuses on the new cooking mechanic, which developer Jandel has suggested might become a permanent feature in the future.
During the event, the island at the center of the map is home to Chris P.'s kitchen. Here, you can cook different recipes by adding ingredients into the cooking pot and then hitting the 'cook' button. You can then give the food you cook up to Chris P. in exchange for rewards.
Every hour, Chris P.'s craving changes. If you manage to give him the food that he's craving, he gives you extra rewards.

What are the Grow a Garden Cooking recipes?
There are 17 different foods that you can cook in the Grow a Garden Cooking event, and each comes in different rarities determined by what ingredients you use.
During the event, Chris P. can crave 16 of the 17 foods. The 17th option is soup, which is a default food that you make when you add ingredients to the pot that don't make up a different recipe.
If you use ingredients with different Grow a Garden mutations, you may end up with mutated food, which you can give to the Rat Connoisseur for different rewards.
Below, we've listed all of our individual guides covering each of the main recipes, featuring instructions on how to make them with a variety of ingredients, from common to prismatic. Once you've cooked a food at least once, you can unlock it in the in-game recipe book.

Additionally, if you use bigger crops, the cooking time will be longer, but the food will also be bigger, and you'll get more rewards.
