Grow a Garden eggs are super important items in this chill Roblox game, allowing you to hatch a variety of adorable pets to help your garden flourish. In this guide we dive into every type of egg in the game, where to get them, how to hatch them, and more, so you don't have to worry about getting scrambled next time you're looking to pick up a new pal.
If you're curious about what comes after the egg, we've got a super detailed Grow a Garden pet guide, covering every single pet in the game and what they can do for your plot. We've also got a list of all the new Grow a Garden codes, in case you fancy a freebie.
Here's everything in our Grow a Garden egg guide:
What are Grow a Garden eggs?
Eggs are special items that you can hatch in order to get pets. In the base game, there are six different egg rarities. An egg's rarity determines how often it appears in the shop, how much it costs, how long it takes to hatch, and what pets you'll get.
Where do I get Grow a Garden eggs?
You can buy Grow a Garden eggs from the pet egg shop. You can find this shop at the far end of the map, opposite the seed shop and next to the cosmetics and gear shops.
The pet eggs stall only stocks three eggs at a time, and its inventory refreshes automatically every 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can spend 90 Robux to refresh the egg stock right away. At least one common egg is always guaranteed to be in stock.
You can also get certain, special eggs through in-game events, either by completing milestones or by purchasing them in event shops.
What is the Grow a Garden tier 2 egg shop?
Tier 2 of the egg shop arrived in the version 1.22.0 Grow a Garden update, alongside phase two of the Fairy event and the introduction of NPC birthdays. While tier 2 doesn't stock more eggs, it does stock a variety of useful pet-related items, including a pet name reroller that picks a new random name for your pet, a pet lead that makes your pet follow you for ten seconds, and a rainbow lollypop that increases your pet's level.
To unlock Grow a Garden's tier 2 egg shop, you need to increase your friendship with Raphael the pet egg shop NPC by cooking and feeding him food. You can feed him once every 24 hours, and the amount of friendship points that you get from feeding him depends on the quality of the dish.
Cooking is a mechanic that arrived in the Grow a Garden Cooking event, where you could throw different items into a cooking pot in order to make food for the event NPC Chris P. If you have any food left over from that event, you can feed it to Raphael. However, if you need more food to give to him, you'll need a cooking kit.
You can get the cooking kit by completing achievements in the garden guide. There are a few different achievement collections that reward you with a cooking kit, but the easiest way is to complete all of the Core Plants Common Achievements, which are:
- Shovel 100 plants
- Harvest 200 carrots
- Gift one carrot
- Sell 500 strawberries
- Gift five strawberries
We managed to complete these very quickly due to how fast carrots and strawberries grow, as well as the fact that the carrot and strawberry seeds are guaranteed to always be in stock at the seed shop.
If you complete all of these achievements, you can claim one cooking kit and five silver common seed packs from your garden guide. Then, you simply need to place your cooking kit in your garden (you can find it in your cosmetics inventory), throw some ingredients in the pot, and hit the big green 'cook' button.
How do I hatch a Grow a Garden egg?
In order to hatch an egg in Grow a Garden, you simply need to place it in your garden and wait. Different eggs have different hatch times, ranging from ten minutes to eight hours. However, you can choose to hatch an egg immediately by spending Robux.
There are also a few pets in Grow a Garden with abilities that speed up egg hatching times, such as the uncommon chicken pet, the rare rooster pet, or the kiwi pets from the Lunar Glow event.

However, you can get the summer eggs from the travelling Summer Seed Merchant, who has a chance to spawn every four hours next to the seed shop. If this shop does spawn, it will stick around for 30 minutes before despawning.
