Here's everything you need to know about the Grow a Garden Zen event:
What is Grow a Garden Zen?
Grow a Garden Zen is an event that runs from Saturday, July 19 until Saturday, August 2, 2025. During the event, you're tasked with channeling tranquil crops into chi by trading them with the Zen Channeler or the Tanuki in exchange for limited-time rewards.
The event expanded further on July 26, 2025 with the Corrupted update, which introduces a new Corrupt Channeler who's causing the tranquility to fade, along with more pets, seeds, items, features, weather, and more.

How do I get Grow a Garden tranquil plants?
You can get Grow a Garden tranquil plants by playing the game during the Zen Aura Weather event. This weather event occurs once every hour and lasts for ten minutes. During this time, one random crop will obtain the tranquil Grow a Garden mutation every 30 seconds.
Tranquil plants emit a mist-like aura with kanji characters appearing around them, making them pretty easy to spot. But, if you want to gather multiple tranquil plants with ease, you can buy a tranquil radar tool to harvest all the tranquil plants within a set radius instantly.
How do I get Grow a Garden corrupted plants?
You can get Grow a Garden corrupted plants by playing the game during the Corrupted Aura Weather event. The weather event can replace the Zen Aura Weather event. Alternatively, the kitsune pet can give crops the corrupt mutation, and the Corrupt Zen Channeler can apply the corrupt mutation to your plants as a reward for you leveling up the Corrupt Tree.
Corrupted plants emit a red lightning-like aura, with red and black particles falling from them. If you want to gather multiple corrupted plants with ease, you can buy the corrupt radar tool from the Zen Shop to harvest all the corrupted plants within a set radius.
How do I get Grow a Garden chi?
You can get Grow a Garden chi by trading crops that have the tranquil mutation with either the Zen Channeler or the Tanuki.
If you give your tranquil crops to the Zen Channeler, he immediately spends that chi to grow the Zen Tree, which earns you event rewards and unlocks new items to purchase in the Zen Shop as it reaches different stages. If you give your tranquil plants to the Tanuki, you get to keep the chi to spend in the Zen Shop instead of using it to grow the Zen Tree.
When you trade in tranquil crops, their rarity determines how much chi you get, as follows:
- Common - one chi
- Uncommon - two chi
- Rare - three chi
- Legendary - four chi
- Mythical - five chi
- Divine - six chi
- Prismatic - seven chi
- Transcendent - eight chi
If a crop has the gold mutation, it gives you an extra two chi. If it has the rainbow mutation, it gives you an extra four chi.

What's the Grow a Garden Zen Tree?
During the Grow a Garden Zen event, one of your main goals is to grow the Zen Tree at the center of the map by giving tranquil crops to the Zen Channeler. The Zen Tree has seven stages, each of which requires a different amount of chi to unlock. When you grow the tree to the next level, you unlock new items that you can purchase in the Zen Shop, as well as random event-limited rewards.
Here are the Grow a Garden Zen Tree stages and how much chi you need to unlock them:
- Stage one - 40 chi (unlocks zenflare seed in the shop)
