There’s something satisfying about handsets made to enjoy the art of music. Excellent devices like the Sony Ericson W810i combined Walkman features with everyday life, and it looks like HMD is focusing on a similar ethos soon. Presenting its upcoming line of products and projects with the world at MWC 2025, the tech company confirms it is set to release the HMD 130 and 150 Music models, and a unique crossover with F.C. Barcelona.
HMD officially unveiled a proper look at the HMD 130 and 150 Music handsets on Sunday, March 2, 2025, which bear a strong resemblance to their Nokia equivalents. Sporting two large speakers on the rear of the budget phones, both models are equipped with playback controls on the right side. Although these new HMD models are nearly identical, the main difference lies within the 150 Music, which includes a camera on the rear.
Both of these models include dual-sim functionality. HMD says that “booming sound, FM radios, durable designs, and superb battery life” are at the core of the forthcoming devices. On the matter of battery life, you’ll find USB-C ports on either model, with HMD claiming that “both [models] last for up to a month on a single charge when in standby.” If you’re wondering what colorways are available, you’ll be able to snag the HMD 130 in Dark Grey, Blue and Red, while the HMD 150 Music colours include Dark Grey, Midnight Purple and Aqua Blue.
HMD is yet to list the HMD 130 and 150 Music phones on its website but has confirmed that they’ll retail for $29/£29. Elsewhere in HMD’s product showcase, the company debuted a new collaboration with F.C. Barcelona in the form of the HMD Barça 3210 and HMD Barça Fusion.
Built around the premise of complete focus and lack of interruptions, these mobiles feature a detox mode to drown out social media. You can even wake up to the voices of different players, find hidden messages and easter eggs, as well as marvel at the player signatures on the back of the HMD Barça Fusion.
After previously working with Mattel on the HMD Barbie flip phone, anything is certainly possible regarding crossovers. You can check out reviews for HMD’s mid-range phones in our HMD Pulse review, HMD Skyline review, and HMD Fusion review. Regarding the HMD Skyline, the company previously expressed that it hoped it would be one of the most repairable Android devices out there.
