Good news, fellow phone photographers – Apple’s next flagship model will allegedly include an absolutely mind-boggling 100x zoom on its cameras, according to a fresh iPhone 16 Pro Max camera rumor, aided by AI technology to ensure a crisp outcome for photos and videos.
In terms of what specs to expect on the cameras, according to Matt Talks Tech’s deep dive into the iPhone 16 Pro Max on YouTube, we’re getting a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 48-megapixel ultrawide for capturing those big vistas, and a 300mm focal length for zoomed-in shots.
These cameras pair with new AI technology, built upon Apple’s previous tools, on the iOS 18 system. Intuitive AI features mean improved clarity, especially in low-light areas, and, of course, the rumored 100x zoom camera.
Now, the Samsung S24 Ultra does have a 100x zoom, equipped with AI clean-up technology, and the Google Pixel has a 30x zoom with enhancing editing tools to make shots clearer after you’ve taken them. Plus, we’re big fans of Honors’ Magic6 Pro which also offers a hefty 100x zoom.
So, it’s not that far of a stretch to expect a 100x zoom on the iPhone 16. What we’re really excited about is how good the AI-integrated tools will be and what post-processing abilities are on offer.
Thankfully, there’s not too long to wait before we can get our hands on this brand-new flagship. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 Pro, should arrive in September 2024, judging by Apple’s usual release timeline.
