How to unlock mirror mode in Mario Kart World
Mario Kart World mirror mode adds a bit of a change to the tracks you know and love. It flips them - mirrors them, you could say - so all those twists and turns can trip you up once again. Nothing but aesthetics changes, but it keeps you on your toes and provides a bit of a challenge to even the most seasoned drivers.
As we're all eagerly racing through Mario Kart World, we're trying to unlock mirror mode to confirm how to do it. There are multiple differing reports on how players have unlocked the mode, with everything from finishing every Grand Prix cup and Knockout Tour to collecting items in free roam.
Here are the most widely reported requirements for unlocking mirror mode:
- Complete each 150cc Grand Prix cup
- Complete every 150cc Knockout Tour
- Find ten Peach Medallions in Mario Kart World free roam mode
- Find ten ? Panels in free roam
- Find ten P-Switches in free roam
- Race in the Grand Prix's 150cc Special Cup
Once you complete all of these tasks, you can then pick mirror mode as part of the Grand Prix and Versus races, on the same screen as choosing 50, 100, and 150cc races.
