A great port to the Switch!

A great port to the Switch!
When I heard about the remastered release of Crash, I almost bought a PS4. However, I bought my Nintendo Switch and just stuck with that console for the last year. I had heard word that Crash was coming to the Switch and preordered immediately. The audio and graphics look amazing in Dock Mode as well as the Portable Mode. The controls are pretty solid and on par with the PS4 version of the game. The gameplay style of Crash Bandicoot is a perfect match to take on the road or just sit out on your front steps and chill while playing. The games included are just as I remember them back when I had them for the PS1 though they really look amazing due to the effort put forth in the remaster. Playing these games really reminds me of my childhood and a great shot of nostalgia. The only thing that was odd for me is the idea of playing these games on a Nintendo console when Crash had seemed to be the de facto mascot of the Sony Playstation back in the mid to late '90s - how things change, right? Either way, the price is right and it is a worthwhile addition to your Nintendo Switch Library. Highly Recommended!

Was totally stoked to purchase this. I loved this game when I was younger. It was pretty hard then and that hasn't changed! This game is a true test of patience. It's super fun and thrilling the spike in anxiety that riddles your body while the dam dinosaur chases you. That's the kind of adrenaline you just can't get anywhere else.
But in a serious note,
The game is still just as awesome as before.
Absolutely happy with my purchase.

I had read someone else say there's a bit of lag with the jumping. After playing quit a few levels I think I'm gonna have to agree. I do see that when you jump there does seem to be a lag from pressing jump to actually jumping it ocasionally lags or you just ultimately don't jump at all even tho you pushed to jump. As annoying as that can be when your down to your last couple lives and about to beat the level. I would still purchase again. It's not annoying enough to not wanna play. Plus I can't confirm this lag or if it's just me refusing to admit I truly died lol and want to insist the game cheated me.

Ending opinion
Buy the game it's awesome won't regret
Graphics are greaf
Shipping was quick
The box says there's two bonus leves
One is insanely hard!

Hope that was helpful!

Overall this collection represents a great value, having the three original games beautifully remastered in one package and for a low price. The games themselves are fun to play, if relatively similar to each other in terms of gameplay. Each game improves on and adds to the one before it, which is refreshing, but playing them in immediate succession gets a little repetitive. If you consider that there was a year between releases of the three games back on PlayStation, there was time for each game to feel fresh as you moved on to play other things between releases. With all three immediately accessible from the start, it becomes more obvious that the games all play similarly. This is a problem that games in the Mario series seemed to overcome better than Crash Bandicoot, by mixing up more of the gameplay elements outside of the core "move from left-to-right, jump on/over things" formula.

Regardless, the N. Sane Trilogy does offer a great, nostalgic trip down memory lane. I felt like I was back at Blockbuster Video playing the demo version on the newly-released PlayStation back in 1996. If you enjoyed these games 20 years ago, you are likely to have a great time re-living the experience with vastly improved graphics, and on Switch all in the palm of your hands if you so choose. If you never played the originals, it's still a worthwhile endeavor to experience these games just to see how they influenced the video game industry. Just be aware that the three games are somewhat similar and adjust expectations accordingly.

I’m glad they are ducting off some great games from the PS1 era and giving them a much needed facelift. I forgot how much I loved these games, and it also gives newer players like my son a chance to experience them with updated graphics. Love it.
