Niantic and Nintendo’s Pikmin Bloom launches worldwide

A red Pikmin appears from behind a shoe in a realistic looking world

Earlier this year, Nintendo and Niantic revealed a brand new Pikmin mobile game as well as a partnership that will see the pair release a series of apps together. The new app is called Pikmin Bloom, and tasks players with collecting Pikmin seeds and bringing the gardens of the world to life. Now, Niantic’s Twitter account has shared that the game is preparing to launch worldwide.

The Pikmin Bloom app will work in a similar way to Pokémon Go, with gameplay and activities that are designed to encourage walking and making going outside more enjoyable. Players collect Pikmin seeds as they wander around, and use them to bring gardens into bloom around the world. You can work together with your local community to bring the area around you to life.

Pikmin Bloom is now live worldwide, so whatever your region you can find the title on the App Store of the Google Play Store. If you’re starting your Pikmin Bloom journey, check out our Pikmin Bloom coin guide, Pikmin Bloom flowers guide, and our Pikmin Bloom expedition guide.

Niantic announced the worldwide rollout of Pikmin Bloom in a tweet recently, and also offered a video that goes into depth explaining the GPS focused title. The video even features Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Pikmin and Super Mario. Check it out below.
