In Pokémon Legends: Z-A's DLC, Mega Dimension, superpowered donuts play a surprisingly pivotal role in saving Lumiose from an extradimensional threat. The donuts you make with Ansha and Hoopa each have different effects, and getting the right mixture of berries can be challenging. Well, that's now a thing of the past, thanks to this fan-made donut calculator.
It's been just under a week since the Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC launched, yet the hardworking folks over at Pokéos have already put together a fantastic database resource to help you craft the perfect donuts for your hyperspace adventures. It features everything you need to know about the donut-making process, including each berry's stats, the different levels of donut, and my favorite feature, a donut calculator that lets you test out a recipe without wasting precious resources.
As part of the Donut List tab, Pokéos' database provides recommended recipes for whichever donut you're after, including the special snacks designed to initiate encounters with various legendary Pokémon in the story. Considering I spent a good 20 minutes doing math with my partner on the couch trying to figure this out by myself, I'm super grateful that this exists. The creators, Makio and JRoses, point out that the database is still experimental and there are certain aspects that they can't control for, especially with flavor powers, but it's still better than going in blind.
Speaking of flavor powers, similar to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's sandwiches, you can use certain donuts to boost your shiny Pokémon odds by making a 'sparkling power' donut. As we mentioned earlier, flavor powers have an element of in-game randomness to them that Pokéos can't control for, but the creators have managed to gather that Sweet donuts are the ones that can have sparkling power. Save up your Hyperspace Tanga Berries, because you'll need a bunch of them!
